Construction spending is expected to fall 12 percent this year and 4 percent next year, according to IHS Global Insight Third Quarter Construction Briefing.That is the bad news. The good news is that real total construction spending is expected to rebound with double-digit growth on an annual basis in 2011 and 2012. Read more here:

It goes from 12% to 4%. Does that mean spending actually increased the following year then? If so, that's great news. I hope that's the way it was meant to read. Construction drives our economy.
